STUDIO OVERVIEW
W hile the FSU College of Music is the third-largest music school in the United States, we manage to keep the studio to 35 trumpets.  This maximizes the amount of interaction between students and Professor Christopher Moore, as well as staff our large ensembles and chamber groups.

Our weekly studio class covers a range of topics within performance and pedagogy, featuring insights from Dr. Moore, who enjoys a stellar reputation as a soloist, orchestral performer, chamber musician and pedagogue, our incredible graduate teaching assistants, and a very healthy roster of  internationally-recognized guest artists.  Recent guests have included Barbara Butler, Axiom Brass, David Hickman, Jason Bergman, and the U.S. Army Band brass quintet.

Another facet of our program is the award-winning FSU Trumpet Ensemble.  Large ensembles include two full symphony orchestras, an opera orchestra, four wind groups, a new music ensemble, and the world-famous Marching Chiefs.
